PETROL heads were revving to go at the Bella Auto super car event at Bywell Hall on Sunday.

Over 3,000 people attended the specialist car show exclusive to the north of England.

Cars on display included the latest models from Aston Martin, Ferrari and Lamborghini, as well as rare race cars.

Organiser David Harding said: “We are absolutely over the moon with the response.

“There was a risk and gamble doing a specialist, high end cars show, and with it being our first time.

“But the combination of the setting, parking and access roads made it the perfect location.”

The show hosted over 200 cars, including a 1927 Bugatti and the fastest Subaru Impreza to lap the Nürburgring in Germany.

Organisers carried out a strict vetting process to ensure a wide variety of models were on show.

The Bella Auto show was the first in Tynedale and follows on from the Fastlane Car Show, held at Albemarle Barracks in 2016.

A variety of family events were also on offer, including circus workshops and birds of prey, as well as independent food stalls.

David praised the supportive efforts of Bywell Hall’s owner, Lord Allendale, and plans have already begun for next year’s show.
