'JUMP for Joy' was a great day. The sun shone, the wind was kind to the plummeting teddies, and a considerable crowd enjoyed the barbecue, teas, cakes, games, bell-ringing and all the other delights on hand. The Steel Panners were vibrant, the first school choir sang like angels and a goodly sum was raised for the work with young people in the village.
ON Sunday, Wylam Community Orchard meets from 2pm to 4pm.
ON Wednesday, June 8, at 10.30am in the Methodist foyer, Men at Home will hear John Derry talk about Jellicoe of Scapa .
ON Thursday, June 9 at 2pm. the gardeners’ society will set off on a visit to Stagshaw House.
