A LIFESAVING defibrillator has been installed in the heart of a rural village.

The device has been set up at The Hearth arts centre and cafe in Horsley.

Funds from Horsley Parish Council were behind the new addition to the village.

The equipment has been supplied by the British Heart Foundation alongside a donation towards the cost.

Training in the use of the new defibrillator will be provided by the North East Ambulance Service.
