POLICE have released further details about an attempted burglary that took place in Prudhoe this week.
A spokesman for Northumbria Police said: "At around 6.25am on Monday , February 5 police received a report that two intruders had been disturbed breaking into an address on Paddock Wood in Prudhoe.
"The men were disturbed in the occupant's garden before he witnessed them attempting to break into a parked vehicle on the same street.
"They then fled the area in another vehicle."
The spokesman added that later that morning officers located two suspects at an address in Blaydon, who they believed were involved in the incidents.
"A collection of stolen property was also recovered including a number of building materials.
"The two men in question have since been released under investigation."
Police have asked anyone who witnessed the burglary or saw suspicious activity to call 101 quoting log 116 05/02/18
