PRUDHOE will be humming tomorrow evening from 7.30pm until 11pm, as lots of local musicians bring you ‘Music on a Summer’s Evening’ in the Glade in the town centre.

Food is available and it should be an enjoyable event.

THE Community Allotments had good weather and an excellent turn-out on their open day.

Joan tells me they raised over £200 for their funds which will help towards next year’s crops and also towards their painting day in September.

They will be looking for lots of volunteers for this nearer the time.

CONGRATULATIONS to Prudhoe High School staff and pupils. So all the hard work was worth it.

There was an over 90 per cent pass rate, with 46 per cent of pupils achieving an A* to B in A-level results.

What an excellent achievement. Well done to staff, pupils and parents.

THE Air Training Corps meets every Tuesday and Thursday from 7pm until 9pm in Swalwell Close (behind the Buzz Factory).

SCHOOL holidays are an excellent time to take your children for a walk in the woods. All Woodland Trust properties are free.

You can take a picnic, collect leaves, flowers and grasses to identify laterThey can also identify birds, trees, fungus and any furry animals you might come across. I’m sure most mums, dads and grandparents remember doing this when they were young.

If you take a camera, magnifying glass, notebook and binoculars you can have a really fun day for nothing.

PRUDHOE and Mickley Unionist Club on West Roadhas country and western dance nights most months.

The next one is on Saturday, September 19, but you can join in on the practise nights on Mondays at 7pm.

SOCIAL Eyes, Prudhoe, is a social group for blind or partially-sighted people who meet regularly in St Mary Magdalene’s Church Hall.
