A 16-YEAR-OLD boy was arrested in Prudhoe on Saturday night after police received reports of a group of youths fighting on Front Street.
The disorder is said to have broken out at 10pm and three police officers were assaulted during the incident.
A spokeswoman for Northumbria Police said no serious injuries were sustained and none of the officers required medical attention.
The teenager was arrested on suspicion of public order and assault offences and has since been released pending advice from the Crown Prosecution Service.
