HORSLEY owes a huge thank you to Northumbrian Water and its enthusiastic employees who volunteered and made an amazing job of painting the entire WI/village hall.

We are very grateful for all of the time and effort, not to mention the paint. Thank you all very much.

THURSDAY, April 21, was the Northumbrian Water customer event at the WI/village hall.

The aim was to give villagers the opportunity to request and receive more detailed information of the future plans to upgrade the site.

It was also a chance for the company to get feedback in order to minimise any impact on residents during the essential work.

If you didn’t get the opportunity to go to the meeting, and have questions in connection with the site, there is a customer care number you can contact on 0345 717 1100.

THE Hearth arts centre is delighted to announce that a new artist has joined them.

Andrea Holmes will now be sharing Ellie Langley’s attic studio.

Andrea is an artist and photographer who moved to the North-East from the West Midlands in 2011, and now lives in Weardale.

THIS Saturday and Sunday, between10am and 4pm, sees the Hearth Spring Event, with gifts, gardening and artwork to refresh your home.
