THE trial of a classic car restorer, accused of ripping off customers in Wylam, is expected to be completed by the end of this week.

The case of Alan Macintyre, of Kelverdon Avenue, Gosforth, started on November 27, at Newcastle Crown Court.

The 57-year-old denies four charges of committing fraud by false representation, and entered not guilty pleas at an earlier hearing.

The charges relate to the defendant’s involvement with Macintyre’s of Gosforth Classic Cars between 2012 and 2015. The firm had premises in Wylam.
