DEVELOPERS working on a new Prudhoe housing estate are to be asked not to use busy school routes during peak times to avoid further traffic problems. Work is ongoing for Cottier Grange, a housing estate of 404 two to six bed homes being brought to the town by Gentoo.

At a meeting of Prudhoe Town Council last week, Councillors gave their approval to the temporary usage of Moor Road, but also agreed to ask developers not to use the road during rush hour periods for local schools. The developers will be asked to restrict their traffic between 8am and 9am and 3pm and 4pm during the week.
