A69 westbound carriageway re-opens following crash
THE westbound carriageway of the A69 near Heddon-on-the-Wall was closed this morning, following a collision involving a car and a JCB.
Emergency services attended following the incident, at around 7.35am, and said the road was blocked for a short period of time, but had since re-opened.
Police said there were no reports of serious injuries, but the driver of the car was taken to hospital with minor injuries as a precaution.
