WYLAM’S popular church hall has been kitted out with new windows.

The windows at St Oswin’s Church Hall had been letting in water and condensation, but they have now been replaced with new hardwoodm double-glazed windows.

Coun. Karen Quinn, county councillor for the Bywell ward, was able to fund the new windows through the county council’s members’ local improvement scheme.

Coun. Quinn said: “I was delighted to agree to fund the new windows for St Oswin’s Church Hall.

“A huge amount of work had already been done to bring the hall up to a high standard and the windows were one of the last things needing to be done.

“The hall is a well used and much-valued village amenity and I was very pleased to help.”
