CHILDREN in Stamfordham celebrated the opening of their new school extension on Wednesday as they made the conversion to a primary school.
A new classroom has been created to house the expanding numbers at the school, which was a first school until the end of the summer term.
The school will now keep children for an extra two years until year six, and the new extension is being used to teach the eldest children in the school. An open event on Wednesday afternoon followed the school’s annual harvest festival.
