Organisers are celebrating the biggest turnout yet as crowds of hundreds gathered to enjoy the music.
Scores flocked to Ponteland Park to see a range of bands which catered to all music tastes. Revellers danced and sang along to performances from Rendezvous Jazz Band, the North Tyneside Steel Band, Ponteland Community Band and The Ringtones.
Caroline Thompson, administrative assistant at Ponteland Town Council, said: “The weather was lovely until the last act. The North Tyneside Steel Band were excellent despite the rain at the end. It was a great atmosphere as always.”
Ponteland Park was a sea of colour as people waved flags to the music. As well as the bands, a group of ladies dressed in flapper dresses to perform umbrella dance.
Caroline added: “There was a really good mix of people. There were elderly people, children and families with dogs and young people who had brought along champagne and picnic baskets.
“Everyone looked like they were having a great time.”
