SUSAN, the hairdresser for gentlemen and ladies’ short styles, will be at Matfen Village Hall on Monday, October 5, from 10am until 12.30pm.
Susan has a steady clientele, impressed by her excellent hairdressing skills and also the saving on petrol!
However new clients are always welcome.
GREAT Whittington and Matfen Women’s Institute is holding its next meeting in Matfen Village Hall on Tuesday, October 6, starting at 7.30pm.
The speaker, John Robertson, who was heavily involved in setting up the poison garden at Alnwick Castle, will be sharing his huge knowledge about Lethal Lovelies.
This Women’s Institute is a lively and friendly group, always keen to welcome new members.
THE aim of the village notes is to include news about all aspects of village life in Matfen.
This would involve church events, news of Matfen sports teams, news from the Village Store and the Black Bull, from High House Brewery, the parish council and from Matfen Hall Hotel, as well as village hall events and activities.
