GREAT Whittington and Matfen Women’s Institute will hold its next meeting on Tuesday, December 1, in the village hall in Matfen.
This will be a pre-Christmas celebration with singing led by the Ayres and Gracenotes choir. Visitors and new members are always welcome, so do feel free to come along and join in.
The next meeting will be on Tuesday, February 2, 2016.
ON Monday, December 14, at 6.30pm, Matfen Parish Church invites you to attend “Carols for Christmas” at Great Whittington Village Hall.
There will be mulled wine, nibbles and mince pies, as well as a raffle and all are very welcome.

STAMFORDHAM First School Christmas fair is in Stamfordham Village Hall, on Saturday, December 5, from 11.30am to 1.30pm.
This is always a very lively occasion with stalls selling all sorts, as well as hot soup and refreshments. There’ll also be a visit from Santa, of course!
