THERE was a festive atmosphere at the Knott Memorial Hall last weekend as many residents and visitors gathered for St Andrew’s Church Christmas fair.

The event was a huge success raising over £1,900 in aid of church funds.

Organiser David Potts would like to thank everyone who attended and especially the volunteers who manned the stalls and the organisations and individuals who donated gifts, food and prizes.

A special guest was in attendance this year and Santa spent time talking to the village’s youngsters to see what presents were on their Christmas lists.

POLICE in Northumberland are reminding residents to keep their homes secure in the run-up to Christmas. They are reminding residents to report suspicious activity in their neighbourhood and take steps to secure their property.
