Hammer used in car break-in
THIEVES are believed to have attacked a car parked in Heddon with a hammer to steal valuables from inside.
Police say a window of a Chevrolet Matiz, parked on Hexham Road, was smashed with a tool some time between 9pm and 11.30pm on Monday.
A mobile phone, computer hard drive and a brief case were among the items taken.
