HUNDREDS of plastic ducks took to the water in Ponteland on Sunday for the town's popular duck race.
Organised by Ponteland Rotary Club, Ponteland Duck Race savoured the last of the fine weather attracting hundreds of people to see 500 ducks glide down the River Pont.
The event's model boat race attracted a record 33 entries, and there was also produce stalls and a bouncy castle to keep visitors entertained.
The event raised a total of £3,200 to be shared between several charities.
