IT may be mid summer, but in Ponteland the 30-week countdown to Christmas has begun.
For the village is planning its biggest Christmas fair yet, on Saturday, December 5.
Organised by the Rotary Club of Ponteland, in aid of number of charities, it will be held in Ponteland High School and will feature stalls, local food, crafts, a beer tent and live music.
