Air ambulance seeks volunteers

THE Great North Air Ambulance service, which has a helicopter based at Otterburn, is in search of new volunteers.

The charity has launched a campaign called Air Angels and throughout 2010 are looking to recruit people of all ages from across Northumberland to get involved to support the charity through a range of activities.

Bucket collections, event organisers and presentations to groups of people about the work of the air ambulance, are among the duties usually undertaken by volunteers.

Anyone interested can attend a volunteer day at the Great North Air Ambulance headquarters in Darlington on February 20.
