SHEDS on Fire, the Haydon Bridge community band, will be appearing at St Cuthbert’s Church on Saturday, October 25, from 7.30pm.
Tickets are available from Margaret Marshall on (01434) 684548, and the price includes supper. Everyone is welcome.
THE coffee morning at the community centre will start at 10am tomorrow.
A GREAT night was had by all at the Railway Hotel on Saturday night. Tom Mitchell entertained everyone, mixing great singing with a little bit of wit! The food was great and the company even better.
THE Methodist church harvest festival services take place on Sunday, with family worship at 10am including the Sunday school children, followed at 6pm with harvest for the village. Both services will be led by the Rev. Les Hann.
Refreshments will be served at the end of both services. If anyone has a donation for the harvest display, for example fruit, veg, tinned produce, etc, would you please take them along to the church on Friday between 10am and 3pm.
ITEMS for the Operation Christmas Child Shoe Box Appeal are still needed. These may include hats, gloves, pens, pencils, soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste and flannels.
Please do not include any thing edible, as these cannot be sent. Thank you to everyone who has donated so far.
A LITTLE advanced notice of a ‘Pink Day’ taking place at the Railway Hotel on Friday, October 31, in aid of breast cancer charities.
Sue and her staff will be dressed all in pink for the day (including the men)! They would like everyone to go along and join in the ‘pink’. So get those pink clothes out of the wardrobe and wear them with pride – all in a good cause.
