Creative writing classes start

THE Centre for Lifelong Learning is starting a new season of creative writing classes this month.

The classes will run at Hexham Community Centre on Gilesgate. These cover all aspects of writing, including poetry, short stories, script writing and the art of crafting an article.

The focus changes weekly and participants get the opportunity to share what they have written. No previous experience is necessary, as the groups are comprised of published, experienced and new writers.

The classes provide an opportunity to increase or improve on literary skills as well as offer participants a chance to enjoy a lively debate.

Sessions run on Tuesday and Thursday mornings and Thursday evenings. For more information, contact the Centre for Lifelong Learning on (0191) 515 2800.
