Stocksfield news

AFTER the summer break members of the Stocksfield Retired Men’s Association held their first meeting last Thursday at Stocksfield Baptist Church Hall when they heard a fascinating talk from Trevor Waddleton on wills and inheritance.

The talk generated a host of questions and discussion on the intricacies of the legal aspects of his subject.
The next meeting will be at 10am on Thursday, September 18, when the subject will be Wicked and Worthy Women of the North-East.

ON TUESDAY, the Stocksfield Plants and Gardens Society will welcome botanical artist Martin Allan, who will speak on Botanical Art and Me. This will take place in SICA at 7.30pm.

STOCKSFIELD Environment Group is holding an open evening on Wednesday, at 7.30pm in the Richardson Room at SICA, when Ceri Gibson will talk about the objectives and work of the Tyne Rivers Trust. There will be opportunities to ask questions and discuss the possibility of setting up a local river watch group.
Go along and find out how you can help safeguard the Tyne and its tributaries. All welcome.
