Haydon Bridge news

TIME to pick all the wonderful vegetables and flowers that have been carefully tended these last few months, because tomorrow sees the third annual flower and vegetable show taking place at the Railway Hotel.

Entries should be in by 10.30am ready for judging which will start at 1.30pm.
The evening will continue with singer John Hodgson, free supper and a grand raffle. A charity fund-raiser on Sunday at noon will see the flower and vegetable entries auctioned off.

AEROBICS and pilates continue on Tuesday in the community centre, with aerobics from 9.15am until 10.15am and pilates from noon until 1pm. Please note there will be no classes the week beginning September 1.

SEPTEMBER isn’t that far away unfortunately, but it does mean that the rugby season is about to start up again.
If there are any boys or girls aged between six and 13 years of age who would like to join West Tyndale Rugby Club, here’s your chance. It will be holding an open day on Sunday, September 14, where you can go along and give it a try.
Just turn up at the pavilion at Haydon Bridge High School from 10.30am until noon. Refreshments will be available. Please ring Sue on (01434) 688534 for further information.
For those who are already playing, your season starts a week earlier on September 7 at 10.30am at the school pavilion.

THE coffee morning in the community centre tomorrow will start at 10am.All welcome.

THERE is a charity quiz night at the Haydonian Social Club on Saturday, August 30, from 8pm.
A fun night is promised with teams of two to six people being given the chance to win T-shirts, hats and other prizes. Money raised will go the RVI children’s and teenage cancer unit.
