CAR buffs will descend on Corbridge at the weekend as hundreds of classic vehicles line the fields of Tynedale Park.
The home of Tynedale Rugby Football Club will be taken over by MG Northumbria on Sunday as proud car owners gather to exhibit their pride and joy.
The fourth annual event, this year promises to be as impressive as ever with veteran, vintage and classic vehicles of all makes travelling from all over the North to the show.
Cars will range from a 1915 Model T Ford through to the more modern classics of the 1970s and 1980s.
There’ll also be the usual stalls, trade stands, refreshments and a bar, plus a display for Dilston Dog Agility, a demonstration from Northumberland Fire and Rescue Service and music by the Newcastle Concert Band.
Previous events have seen thousands of pounds raised in aid of local charities including Mencap’s Dilston College, the event’s former venue.
Proceeds from this year’s gathering will go to Hexham’s Priory School.
Secretary of MG Northumbria, Stephen Ruddick, who lives in Corbridge, said: “This year will be our first year at Tynedale Park – because the show has grown over the years we were running out of space at Dilston College.
“At the last count we had over 300 cars coming along, but that may well have increased by now.”
The event takes place on Sunday between 11am and 4pm.
