TEENAGERS from Tynedale have been raising money for the Alzheimer’s Society through the National Citizen Service.

The programme, which is backed by the Government, is open to 16 and 17-year-olds and aims to build skills for work and life.

It involves a community project that benefits the community and young people.

The group spent time on the Sele and at the Bandstand in Hexham last Friday, where they sold home-made cakes, ran a tombola and organised football games to raise funds.
