Operator, Euro Garages says the £3.5m development will be open to customers in the first week of the month.
In March, planners granted permission for the 16-bay fuel station which will also include public toilets, three jet washes, 50 parking spaces and a free cash machine.
Now the construction on the former Fewster’s agricultural suppliers site at Bridge End is beginning to take shape.
The scheme is expected to create around 65 new jobs with a Spar convenience store, a Starbucks ‘drive thru’ and food-to-go concessions from Subway and Greggs.
A Euro Garages spokesman said: “We are in the process of recruiting and training staff with a view to being ready for site opening.”
