Paintwork on every panel of a silver Ford Focus was scratched and two tyres punctured, some time between 5.15pm and 8pm last Friday.
The next day, between 11am and 1.50pm, a handbag, purse and cosmetics were among items stolen from a car parked outside Waitrose.
Anyone with information is asked to call police in Hexham on 101 ext 69191.
