Disappointed with the town’s nightlife, Kieran Irvin is determined to put Hexham on the map as a destination for clubbers and late-night revellers.
The 27-year-old, who has lived in Hexham all his life, organised a club night which he hopes will become a regular fixture on the North- East DJ circuit.
Kieran said: “I thought there was nothing going on in Hexham, so decided I wanted to start a club night, bring in some local DJs and try something new.”
Under the name Alliance Events, Kieran hosted the first night at Studio last Sunday.
The line-up included a number of well-known local DJs playing a diverse mix of music.
The Bank Holiday event saw sets from DJs Lewis Brown, DMNK from Hexham and Frash from Allendale.
Around 300 people attended the event, which ran from 11pm to 3am, and Kieran hopes to host another one in the next few months, with plans to make it a regular feature on Hexham’s calendar.
Kieran is no stranger to Hexham nightlife; he himself used to DJ at Studio and at the popular Selefest.
