INCREASED police patrols will take to the streets in the wake of the terror attack in London in the early hours of Monday morning this week.

Northumbria Police have moved to reassure Northumberland residents following the incident outside the Finsbury Park mosque, after a van was driven into a crowd of Muslim worshippers.

Additional patrols will take place around all places of worship. And armed officers will be visible in high footfall areas of the region, around transport hubs and in the city centres.
