YOUNGSTERS at Hexham Priory School finished the summer term by celebrating receiving a donation of over £9,600.

The cash was raised at a black tie Midsummer’s Night Ball, held on June 10 at Vallum Farm on the Military Road.

The event was organised by parents Jennie Rosby, Michelle Rivkin and Vicky Moffitt – with Vicky and her husband, Peter, kindly donating the use of Vallum Farm as the venue for the second year running.

Over 150 guests enjoyed a three-course feast, welcome drinks and live music while giving generously to help cover the cost of activities at the school, which teaches children with special needs.

The money will help fund educational residential trips, which for some families is the only respite support they receive.

Parent Michelle Rivkin said: “We ran an auction and raffle on the night with over 50 prizes kindly donated by local businesses and our sponsors Fawdington Suzuki and Humble & Clark Legal Services.

“An amazing £9643.71 was raised, so we would love to say a huge thank you to everyone who supported the event either by attending, donating or sponsoring.”
