A SCHOOL lollipop lady was struck by a car in Hexham during the afternoon school rush on Thursday.
Police were called out to the collision on Hencotes at just before 3.30pm.
The 28-year-old woman had been hit by a car which was driving west on the road.
Officers say she suffered minor injuries and was treated by a community paramedic at the scene before being taken to The Northumbria hospital in Cramlington.
Police are asking anyone who saw the incident to contact them on 101 quoting reference 687 of 12/10/17.
