A HEXHAM woman has donated her hair to a children’s charity.
Julia Dodds (19) of Alexandra Terrace, gave her long hair to The Little Princess Trust.
The Little Princess Trust provides real hair wigs free of charge to boys and girls across the UK and Ireland who have lost their own hair due to cancer treatment and other illnesses.
Julia, a former pupil at Queen Elizabeth High School now studying at the University of Nottingham, said: “I’ve grown my hair long for more than three years. I decided to donate my hair because both of my parents have had cancer, and I wanted to do something with it other than just throw it away.”
