For during her trip, she bought a ticket for the grand charity raffle at the Teco store in the town – and hers was the ticket drawn out by Mayor of Hexham Coun. Trevor Cessford for the use of a luxury Mercedes saloon car for the weekend.
As well as the super car prize, there were another £500 worth of prizes in the draw, which raised £4,100 for national and local charities, including £500 in cash for the West Northumberland Food Bank.
Other beneficiaries were the British Heart Foundation, and Diabetes UK.
