HOUSING provider Isos admits there is no long-term solution to a flooding issue at Halton Lea Gate.

Tenant Mitchell Liddell says the driveway of his home at Leaside floods every time it rains heavily.

The house has not been flooded, but Mr Liddell says water levels regularly rise to four inches.

He said: “I’ve lived here 10 years and it has gradually got worse. It is a concern every time it rains. ”

A spokesman for Isos said the problem was due to the location of the property at Leaside’s lowest point.

He explained: “We sympathise with the problems faced by Mr Liddell, and we have made numerous attempts to resolve the situation over many years, making significant investment.

“Unfortunately, Mr Liddell’s home sits at the lowest point in the local area, so the garden is prone to low level flooding during periods of heavy rainfall.”
