A FOOTBALL mad teenager from Greenhead has been diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour.
Fourteen-year-old Rhya Story plays for Haltwhistle United U15 Girls. She is currently being treated at Newcastle's Royal Victoria Infirmary.
Football is Rhya‘s life and she never misses a game or a training session.
Now teams from across the North-East are showing their support by joining an online campaign #Heart4Rhya.
Posing for team photographs, they're making a heart shape with their hands before posting them on Facebook.
The campaign has already captured the public's imagination with support flooding in overnight and teams as far afield as Longhoughton, Crook and Whitley Bay posting their pictures.
