Haltwhistle Town Council is an annual supporter of the partnership, which carries out community projects, including a luncheon club and social activities for older people.
At the latest town council meeting, Coun. Graham Ridley said: “The partnership supports and subsidises the older people’s services.
“The partnership is an essential part of this town, and I think this money will be put to very good use.”
The partnership, based at Westbourne House on Main Street, seeks funding from different sources each year to keep afloat.
Coun. Jeanette Kendrew explained that she would work alongside Coun. Julia Hunter to organise coffee mornings in aid of the partnership.
