BBC Bargain Hunt’s Paul Laidlaw will be in Haltwhistle next month to cast his eyes over the town’s hidden treasures.

The Cumbrian-based antiques expert and TV personality has been a familiar face at Haltwhistle’s annual antiques valuation day in recent years.

On Tuesday, February 14, he will be at Haltwhistle Library with colleague Georgina Norman, when the pair will assess items brought in by the public.

The event is in aid of Dementia Support @ Haltwhistle, a local group which assists dementia sufferers and their families.

Mr Laidlaw is a patron of the group.

The event will include an antiques stall provided by Jim White, as well as tea, coffee, and a raffle.

Antiques will be valued on a strictly first come, first served basis.

The event will run from 10am to 3pm.
