A FLORAL designer who held her first ever flower festival in Corbridge is returning to her roots this weekend.

Vivien Bolton, artistic designer with Stocksfield South of Tyne Flower Club, has come up with the theme of A Backward Glance for the event at St Andrew’s Church in Corbridge this weekend.

Blooms arranged by club members, as well as the Friends of St Andrew’s Church, will prove quite a colourful spectacle, explained churchwarden Linda Hunter.

“Vivien Bolton has over the years organised 17 flower festivals – in a variety of places.

“But she he did her very first one in Corbridge,” said Linda.

The festival opens at 9.30am today and can be seen by members of the public each day between 9.30am and 5pm until Monday.
