SUSAN, the barber, will be in the supper room when the Café @ The Foyer is open this morning, Friday, between 9.30am and 1pm. Please note that the café will be closed on Bank Holiday Monday.

ALSO today, at 6pm in the parish hall, Clive Page invites parents, grandparents and children from the village who may be interested to hear of his proposals for the sports field, where the new football pitch is slowly developing alongside the cricket club. The ideas, supported by the parish council, are at the planning stage so any input would be welcome. As well as improving the area for both sports, funding is being sought to build a new pavilion. Clive would love to hear from anyone interested in both playing and coaching football with competitive league membership – girls, boys, women, men of all ages.

THE Northumbria Healers will be in the parish hall on Saturday, when treatments are available between 2pm and 4pm.

A REMINDER that the Supper Room will be used for the Northumberland County Council Police and Crime Commissioner election next Thursday, May 5. The lunch club and the craft class will still be able to meet in the foyer side room.

THE ladies of the WI will also be meeting for their AGM in the parish hall on Thursday evening, at 7.30pm.

FINALLY, congratulations to Riding Mill carpet bowls team for another victory when they played against Snods Edge recently. Fingers crossed that the winning streak continues.
