THE Charlotte Straker annual charity golf day was played at Matfen Hall Golf Club and raised £3,250.
One of the charity’s flagship fund-raising events, the money raised will help fund complementary therapies for residents at Charlotte Straker House.
The holistic treatments are provided by visiting therapists from local business Naturel Therapies, which is based in Warden.
Seventeen teams from local businesses battled it out for first prize last month.
They all enjoyed a full afternoon’s golf in the sunshine plus a slap-up meal at the Keeper’s Lodge.
The winning team was made up of four golfers from J.A. Stobo & Son Greengrocers in Corbridge, who played a brilliant round.
Second place went to team two from Corbridge-based Joyce Construction and Civils.
The manager of Charlotte Straker House, Marilyn Hunter, said: “We are so delighted that the amount raised can fund a programme of holistic treatments for our residents, who gain immeasurable benefits from each therapist appointment.
“Thank you to all the local businesses that supported us.
“It is very much appreciated.”
