SAD to report a number of deaths of well known residents.

Shirley Storey will be remembered for her role in running the paper shop alongside her husband Bill for over 20 years.

Stuart Hudson was an active member of the village trust and Corbridge Gardening Society for many years. They both died on July 18.

Charlie Crozier the longest serving resident of St Helen’s Street died last Monday after a short illness. In his working life he was involved in the family haulage business and then he worked at Hexham Hospital.

Grenville Harris, who was Corbridge’s vet for many years, also died after a long illness.

Our sympathy goes to their respective families as this time.

CORBRIDGE got back to winning last weekend when they defeated visitors Bomarsund by six wickets at the Stanners. However, the second XI lost to the Bomarsund 2nd XI.
