BOTH outdoor events last week in Corbridge went very well apart from the unseasonal chill in the air.

The late night shopping evening and stalls saw a busy Market Place on Thursday evening, then on Saturday the first school fete was well attended. Well done to all who made both events a sucess.

COME Dancing takes place in the parish hall tonight from 7.30pm until 10pm.

TICKETS for the Corbridge Festival are still on sale at Corbridge Tourist Information Centre.

The event, which takes place on July 11, is expected to be well attended.

MUCH Ado About Nothing the musical takes place at Dilston Hall on the evenings of Thursday, July 2 and Friday, July 3.

DILSTON Women’s Institute hold their monthly meeting in the youth and community centre on Thursday, July 2 at 7pm.

THERE is a Dementia Awareness morning at St Andrew‘s Church on Saturday, July 4 commencing at 10.30am.

AN event for next weekend - the classic cars show takes place at Tynedale Park on Sunday, July 5 at 11am and ends at 4pm with vintage vehicles of all kinds on show.

DROP in coffee mornings continue at Corbridge Methodist Church every Tuesday from 10am until 11.30am. The Market Place Chapel is open every Friday for a similar event from 11am until 3pm.

MESSY Church takes place in St Andrew‘s Church on Sunday, July 12. This event is entitled Messy Picnic and runs from 2.30pm until 5pm.

CORBRIDGE Cricket Club had a bad week, going out of the Wilson Cup and Birkett Cup to Clara Vale on both occasions then losing at home to Chopwell/GEM by 120 runs at the Stanners.
