NICE to see so many visitors in Corbridge over the past week with the sunny, warm days; however the downpours of last Friday spoiled that.

DROP-IN coffee and chats continue at Corbridge Methodist Church every Tuesday from 10am until 11.30am. Friday, August 28, sees a similar event at the Market Place Chapel from 11am until 4pm.

CORBRIDGE Cricket Club will hold a family fun day on Sunday, August 30, from 12.30pm until 8pm.

With four teams trying to win the Corbridge Charity Shield, all proceeds will to the Charlotte Straker Project and Corbridge Youth Initiative under the banner ‘Better Together’.

CORBRIDGE cricketers were well beaten again last weekend at Ashington Rugby Club as the home team took apart the Corbridge bowlers and ended their innings on 322-9. In reply, Corbridge were 144 all out and the home team won by 178 runs.
