POLICE are investigating after thieves stole a bike after smashing the lock and chain securing it to a fence in Corbridge.
The red Giant pedal cycle was stolen between 7am and 1.40pm on July 1 from Dilston Plains on the edge of the A695, while the owner carried out some garderning work nearby.
Anyone with information, or who is offered a similar bike for sale, is asked to contact police on 101 ext 69191.
