Tynedale Hunt’s annual meet has taken place at Corbridge market place for decades, and this year the cold winds did not deter people from coming out to show their support. Riders and hounds met with the public at around 10.45am before setting off on a trail through the countryside.
Huntsman and joint master Charles Shirley-Beavan runs the Tynedale Hunt along with joint masters Sheila Eggleston, Caroline Dickinson and Cheryl Lawson-Croome.
He said: “It was a huge turnout – bigger than ever. You couldn’t move in the market place. The public were getting involved and there were lots of kids there too who were getting a chance to stroke the hounds.
“It was a great day hunting; just very windy!”
