WHILE sharing the stage with some household names, a singer/songwriter from the Tyne Valley was one of the star turns at Corbridge Festival.

Amy Ridley (18), of Humshaugh, had the crowd at Tynedale Park swaying in unison as she was invited on to the main stage to sing Robyn’s hit Dancing on my Own in an emotional tribute to her best friend Chloe Rutherford and her boyfriend Liam Curry, who lost their lives during May’s terror attack in Manchester.

It was a memorable debut on the main stage, after an earlier set on the festival’s Dragonfly Stage. The teenager said: “I’m still shaking even thinking about going on that stage, but it was one of the best things I have ever done.

“And I’m so proud and honoured to have shared it with Chloe and Liam. They are always with me, forever.”
