The event, which is organised by the ladies of the Tynedale Hunt and took place at Matfen Hall last month, has raised more than £40,000 for local charities over the past 12 years and decided to support the Corbridge care facility’s free respite care bed campaign.
The money raised was handed over during a recent hunt meet at Halton, near Corbridge.
Gift fair committee member, Caroline Mason: “We are so pleased to have raised such a substantial amount of money for the Charlotte Straker Project.”
Bill Cunningham, chairman of trustees at Charlotte Straker, said: “We are so grateful to receive this fantastic donation.”
