DONATIONS from supporters of a Corbridge care facility have funded the creation of two new rooms.
A large flat at Charlotte Straker House has been divided and refurbished with en-suite wet room facilities and high quality furnishings.
It means that space in an existing bedroom has been turned into a much-needed office, while the accommodation available has been expanded from 30 to 31 rooms.
Manager of Charlotte Straker Marilyn Hunter, said: “The whole team and I are delighted with the high quality refurbishment of these rooms. We have been looking forward to residents moving into the new accommodation.
“They have told us how pleased they are with the decoration and standard of fittings as well as the fact they love the new en-suite bathrooms.”
Chairwoman of the trustees Marilyn Hunter added: “This refurbishment has been completely funded with donations.
“We are immensely grateful and would like to sincerely thank all our supporters whose generosity has allowed us to refurbish our new accommodation to such a high standard.”
