Paul returns to his meaty roots

FRUIT and veg stallholder Paul Graham has been given extra responsibility in Robbs of Hexham’s Food Hall after he recently took over the butcher’s department.
After Arthur Temple butcher’s long association with the food hall ended, Mr Graham was enlisted by the store to combine his job of looking after the fruit and veg department with the meat counter.
But the pairing is not as odd as it sounds, as Mr Graham had worked as a butcher for 15 years before he became a greengrocer at Robbs.
And he is now looking forward to going back to his roots.
He said: “The reason I have gone back to it is because I know that this place has potential. If I had let it go, I would be kicking myself.”
Arthur Temple butchers had been established for over 125 years, but rumours suggest that the shop has gone bust.
At the time of going to press, Arthur Temple butchers was unavailable for comment.
